It’s challenging to let go of someone who holds half of your soul
A challenge I never imagined I would be called on to fulfill
It’s empty and lonely
And at times it leaves me bitter and angry
But the fear melts away, it does not grip me anymore
And I learn to stand up tall and stand up strong
Ready to start a new day
Knowing that we are all always connected
