What’s Missing in Private Practice?

I think the number one thing missing in most healing psycho therapeutic models is that there is no framework for creating a foundation for life.

We are giving lots of strategies that are being built on an already shaky ground and asking that they remain stable.

And when they cannot stabilize we blame and shame the client for now working hard enough or not wanting to get better badly enough.

And then we wonder why the strategies are not being used or are reported not working.

It’s not that the strategies don’t work, it’s because there is no solid life foundation to sustain and hold the strategies.

If we work on building the foundation first, the strategies will act as a loving support system in a strong foundation.

It doesn’t matter what the rest of the world believes, the only thing that matters is what you believe.
