What most of us don’t learn growing up is that we can use our emotions as our guide map. They can actually help you through life and become your best friend. We also don’t learn what to do when they surface; the more stressed out we become, the more overwhelming our feelings become and the more we try to pretend they don’t exist - instead of understanding how they are actually helping us. Yes, that anxiety, anger or even sadness are all trying to tell you something and they all come with different messages when you learn to decipher them. Each emotion brings a different message, and once you understand the language of emotions, your whole world begins to change.
When you think about it, our emotions effect our self esteem, our relationships, how we live life and what we do about everything and anything. It affects our success and our failures. When we are battling with our difficult emotions and not able to understand them fully, it becomes impossible to keep our brain tapped into the feelings that empower us.
Once we are able to do that, everything becomes a whole lot simpler.
Individual Counselling focuses on your goals and your individual growth. In our first session, I will sit down with you and really listen to what is going on in your life right now, how you’ve gotten to this place and where you want to be.
Once I can understand exactly where you are at and what your own personal goals are, I will then create an individualized program specifically for you that will get you to your goals.
During this process, not only do I listen to you in a non-judgemental way, but I also give you a unique understanding of your situation. I will also give you specific tools and techniques that you can start using immediately in your every day life.
