I am extremely honored to have Rick Goodwin join me for a new episode of Brain Healthy.
Rick is the founder of Men & Healing (www.menandhealing.ca). For nearly 20 years, he built and was past Executive Director of The Men’s Project in Ottawa. As well, he served as National Manager to 1 in 6 Canada from 2012-2015. He has won a variety of awards for service excellence over his career.
He received his Master’s of Social Work in 1985. Since then, he has trained clinically in a variety of models, focusing primarily on engagement in trauma recovery, ending men’s violence, and human sexuality. He has provided training in three continents and is internationally recognized in his work on male-centred approaches to therapy.
Rick has promised to share his insights with us about trauma, men and healing. He will be talking about what he has learned over the course of his career and how he implements his learning into valuable strategies and action steps when working with clients. This is definitely a not to be missed episode.
