There is a big difference between being and being busy.
You don’t allow yourself “to be” but you do allow yourself to “be busy”.
“To be” means to be with yourself, to be with your emotions, to be with your pain and hurt and not try to numb it out or pretend it doesn’t exist or get over it.
It means to be with it without judgement and allow it to be.
Allow it to be released.
Allow it to be felt.
But in order to do that you have to allow yourself “to be”.
